License fees and late charges collected pursuant to this chapter may be deposited in the general corporate fund of the village and shall be used for either the purposes of improving, paving, repairing and/or maintaining the streets and other public roadways within the village and/or for the purpose of payment of the cost of the services of police officers engaged in the regulation of traffic.
