A. Tags Required:
1. The Village Administrator shall provide each license period or license year such number of tags as may be necessary, of such size and shape as the Village Administrator shall deem expedient, having thereon the words "Dog License", the license number and the license year or period for which the tax is paid. It shall be the duty of the Village Administrator to deliver or forward by mail one tag to each qualified applicant paying the required tax.
2. The Village Administrator shall keep a record of the name and address of the owner of each dog for which a tag is issued.
B. Tag to be Worn: Every person keeping or harboring any dog so licensed in accordance with this Chapter shall keep and maintain a collar around its neck with the tag, as hereinbefore described, securely fastened thereto.
C. Lost Tags: In the event that any person to whom a dog license has been issued shall present to the Village Administrator satisfactory evidence that the tag previously issued for the then current year has been lost and pays to the Village Collector a fee of one dollar ($1.00), the Village Administrator shall issue a substitute license and tag.
