Any sign now or hereafter existing which advertises a business no longer being conducted or a product no longer being sold, shall be removed by the permittee, or by the owner, agent or person having the beneficial use of the premises upon which such sign may be found, within twenty (20) days after written notification from the building officer. Upon failure to comply with such notice, the building officer is authorized to remove such sign at the expense of the permittee or the owner, agent or person having the beneficial use of the premises.
