§ 121.72  LICENSE REQUIRED TO OPERATE SELF-SERVICE STATIONS.
   (A)   The City Clerk is hereby authorized to issue a license to operate a self-service gasoline filling station upon application as provided herein. Before the City Clerk may issue any license, the applicant shall file an application on forms furnished for such purpose and the Fire Department shall conduct an investigation to determine whether the proposed self-service gasoline filling station complies with all applicable state flammable liquid regulations, and any applicable provisions of this code and applicable ordinances and regulations of the city concerning the operation of self-service stations. After the completion of such investigation, the fire department shall certify to the City Clerk its findings and recommendations as to whether a license to operate a self-service station should be issued to the applicant.
   (B)   There shall be furnished to each licensee under this section, a certificate of such form and style as the Fire Department shall prescribe, which shall be displayed on the premises where the licensee is engaged in such operation.
   (C)   The original license fee shall be $50 and such license shall expire July 1 of each year, and the annual renewal of such license fee shall be $25 thereafter. Notwithstanding the granting of a license to operate a self-service gasoline filling station, a license is required for retail sales pursuant to § 121.57
