§ 97.016  AUTHORITY TO SUPERVISE AND CONTROL; INSPECTIONS.
   The Director of the Department of Public Services shall have general supervision and control of all streets and the building maintenance, repairs and construction thereof, including inspection; and it shall be the duty of the Director and he is hereby authorized to see that the provisions hereof are enforced. The Director may act by himself or any duly authorized subordinate in any of the matters hereinafter provided to be done by him, and shall, whenever authorized by the Council, employ such assistants as may be necessary to enforce the provisions hereof. The Director may designate any competent person as an inspector for the purposes of this subchapter or enforcement of its provisions.
