Any violation of or failure to comply with the provisions of this subchapter or any rules or regulations adopted pursuant thereto shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00 and costs of prosecution or by imprisonment not to exceed 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court.
