(A) All fences shall require a permit from the City Council and only the City Council may issue fence permits. Before a fence permit is issued, the applicant must secure the approval of the Louisville and the County Metropolitan Sewer District. The official policy of the city is to discourage fences.
(B) Any fence erected for a particular purpose may be conditioned on the continued existence of that condition and, when that condition ceases to exist, the fence shall be removed.
(C) Any fence constructed shall have its better looking side face the neighbor’s property, with the posts on the side of the fence facing the property of the one constructing the fence, unless a variance is granted by the City Council.
