(A) Public Works employees will be reimbursed, or authorized to spend at the shoe supply truck visiting the department, up to $250 annually, for the purchase of boots. To receive reimbursement, an employee must present proof of purchase, and the boots must meet quality standards. Specifically, the boots must have safety toes and must be a consistent color. Any variation from this standard must be pre-approve in writing by the Department Head.
(B) Water Works employees will be reimbursed, or authorized to spend at the shoe supply truck visiting the department, up to $450 annually, for the purchase of boots. To receive reimbursement, an employee must present proof of purchase, and the boots must meet quality standards. Specifically, the boots must have safety toes and must be a consistent color. Any variation from this standard must be pre-approve in writing by the Department Head.
(C) The Chief of Police, Assistant Chief (Patrol Captain), Assistant Chief (Investigations Captain) and Detective requiring business attire will be reimbursed up to $1,200 annually for the purpose of purchasing such necessary attire. New hires shall be prorated based on the month of employment.
