§ 90.07 LICENSES AND PERMITS.
   (A)   Licenses.
      (1)   Alarm business license. No person shall engage in, conduct, or carry on an alarm business without first applying for and receiving an alarm business license therefor in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
      (2)   Alarm agent license. No person shall engage in, conduct, or operate as an alarm agent without first applying for and receiving an alarm agent license therefor in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
      (3)   In addition, the following information will also be required:
         (a)   Name and address of applicant.
         (b)   Full local address of applicant.
         (c)   The name, address, and other necessary pertinent information of all alarm agents sought to be used in connection with any installation made in the village.
   (B)   The Police Chief may dispense with the investigation upon being furnished with an authenticated copy of a current license issued by another governmental agency located in the county. The permit shall be denied by the Police Chief if:
      (1)   The character or reputation of the applicant is determined to be inimical to the safety or general welfare of the community; or
      (2)   The applicant, his employee, or agent has knowingly made false, misleading, or fraudulent statements of a material fact in the application for a license; or
      (3)   The applicant has had a similar type license previously revoked for a good cause.
   (C)   Alarm system permit. No person shall possess or use an alarm system without first applying for and receiving an alarm permit therefor in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. In addition, the following information will also be requested:
      (1)   Name and address of property owner.
      (2)   The location of all alarmed doors, windows, pressure pads, or other devices which would trigger the alarm.
      (3)   The location of all alarm consoles and operational instructions for each alarm location.
      (4)   The name of the company installing the system.
      (5)   An agreement to deposit a key to the protected building and a key to the alarm system used in the residence or protected building, and to provide access to the main control panel.
      (6)   Agreement to use an assigned code number of the installation.
   (D)   The record in division (C) shall be privileged and not available for public inspection. No employee of the village shall divulge any information obtained in connection with the permit application.
