§ 52.088 RIGHT OF INSPECTION AND AUDIT.
If a provider asserts that the compensation it is required to pay under § 52.070 for a certificate of registration should be less than the village is requiring the provider to pay, based upon the system usage requirements in § 52.070, or if the village reasonably believes that such provider should be paying a greater amount of compensation as required under § 52.070, then the village's designated representatives shall have the right to inspect, examine, or audit during normal business hours and upon reasonable notice to a provider under the circumstances, all documents, records, or other information which pertain to a provider and its operation of a system or its obligation under this chapter. All such documents shall be made available during regular business hours and within the village or in such other place that the village and the provider may mutually agree upon in writing in order to facilitate said inspection, examination, or audit, provided however, that if such documents are located outside of the village, then a provider shall pay the reasonable expenses incurred by the village's designated representatives in traveling to and from such location. Provider shall also reimburse the village for the total cost incurred by the village if the village finds it necessary to utilize a third party to assist with or conduct an investigation or audit.
