144.03 ASSISTANT BUILDING COMMISSIONER.

   (a)    There is hereby created the part-time position of Assistant Building Commissioner, who shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. Said Assistant Building Commissioner shall report to the Building Commissioner and shall enforce the provisions of Part Thirteen of these Codified Ordinances - the Building Code, with additional specific responsibility for zoning enforcement pursuant to Chapter 1125 of these Codified Ordinances, as well as residential development and new housing starts.

   (b)    The person appointed to the part-time position of Assistant Building Commissioner shall be compensated at a rate determined by the Mayor based on said employee's experience, performance and attitude.
