137.01 SERVICE DIRECTOR.

(a) The Service Director shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to the approval of a majority of the members elected to the Council and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.

(b) The Service Director shall be the head of the Service Department. He shall manage the Department which shall be responsible for the general repair and maintenance of all public works, grounds, cemeteries, streets, alleys and bridges, and other public places, belonging to or under the control of the Municipality. The Director shall supervise and manage the resurfacing and repairing of all other municipal property, and the collection and disposal of wastes and any other duties delegated to him by the Mayor.
