376.02 INSPECTION, INSURANCE, AND TITLE REQUIREMENTS.

   (a)   No person shall operate a golf cart on the public streets in the City without first obtaining a Certificate of Inspection by the Chief of Pollice to ensure compliance with State laws and this Chapter, which Certificate of Inspection shall be in the possession of the operator of the golf cart at all times the golf cart is being operated on a public street or highway.

   (b)   No person shall operate a golf cart on the public streets of the City without first obtaining a Certificate of Title from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and a valid registration for the vehicle.

   (c)   No person shall operate a golf cart on the public streets within the City unless the operator has a valid Ohio driver’s license.

   (d)   The owner of a golf cart that is driven on the public streets of the City shall carry liability insurance thereon as required by the State of Ohio and the operator of the golf cart shall have in the operator’s possession proof of insurance while operating the golf cart.

   (e)   Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor and subject to a fine of not more than one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00).
