150.01 DEFINITIONS.

   (a)   “Professional liability insurance” means insurance which covers a person or organization for loss or damage to third parties arising from negligent acts, errors and/or omissions in rendering professional services.

   (b)   “Professional services” means work, assistance, information or advice performed or provided to the City which is based on a recognized standard of specialized knowledge or expertise, including but not limited to law, accounting, appraising, architecture, and engineering, often requiring extensive formal education and licensure or certification.

   (c)   “Errors and omissions insurance” means professional liability insurance.
