1321.02 REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

   (a)    No person, firm, co-partnership, corporation, association or any other organization, or any combination thereof, shall engage in a business or perform any work or act in the capacity of a contractor within the City without being first duly registered by the City to perform such work or engage in such business.

   (b)    Such registration shall be issued by the Building Commissioner of the City upon application. The Buildings Commissioner, before issuing such registration, shall require satisfactory evidence that the contractor has the ability and is qualified to perform the work for which the application for registration is submitted.

   (c)    Any general contractor who will also be performing any of the particular types of work listed in Section 1321.01(b) through (g) shall be registered to perform each such particular type of work in addition to being registered as a general contractor.
