1371.02 LABELING.

   (a)    Each light of safety glazing material manufactured, distributed, imported or sold for use in hazardous locations in the City or installed in such locations shall be permanently labeled by means of etching, sand blasting or firing ceramic material on the safety glazing material or such other means of permanent labeling available and supplied by the manufacturer. The label shall identify the labeler, whether manufacturer, fabricator or installer, the nominal thickness and the type of safety glazing material, and the fact that the material meets the test requirements of the most current ANSI Standard Z-97.1. The label shall be legible and visible after installation.

   (b)    Safety glazing labeling shall not be used on other than safety glazing materials. (Ord. 1973-8. Passed 2-13-73.)
