901.05 PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY AND CONVENIENCE.
   The convenience and safety of the public and the prompt and satisfactory restoration of the pavement shall be paramount considerations in the granting of any permit under the provisions of this chapter. The Chief of Police or Service Director may issue such further regulations, requirements or conditions in connection with any opening or excavation in a public street as either of such officials deems necessary for the protection and preservation of the public peace, safety, welfare and convenience.
