771.03 SAFETY PROVISIONS.
   All dry cleaning establishments shall be located in single-story buildings and no part of such buildings shall be used for residential purposes.
   The cleaning solvent used shall be nonflammable, and no open-flame burning equipment shall be permitted within the building. Suitable provisions shall be made for the control of the liquid and the prevention of fumes in the area open to the public.
   Coin-operated machines shall be designed to prevent the opening of the loading door in the event of power failure, and to prevent the interruption of the cleaning cycle or the removal of solvent-laden garments. Exhaust ducts and stacks and fresh air supply shall be installed so as to guarantee the protection of the public. All machines and equipment shall be kept clean and in repair, and shall be subject to inspection by the Inspector of Buildings. Safety regulations and instructions to customers, approved by the Inspector, shall be posted in the customer area. (Ord. 1962-6. Passed 3-13-62. )
