622.15 DRUG OFFENSES TRUST FUND.

   (a)   The Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to establish a separate fund which shall be known as the Drug Offenses Trust Fund. Moneys from this Fund shall be used to subsidize the Police Department’s efforts that pertain to drug offenses.

   (b)   Whenever the Police Department is primarily responsible for or involved in making the arrest of, and in prosecuting, any offender in violation of Ohio R.C. 2925.03 or Section 622.02, any mandatory fine imposed pursuant to that Section shall be paid to the Drug Offenses Trust Fund. Any additional fine imposed pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2925.03(I) shall be disbursed as otherwise provided by law.

   (c)   Whenever a person is charged with any violation of Ohio R.C. 2925.03 or Section 622.02 and forfeits bail posted pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2937.22 to 2937.46 or Criminal Rule 46, the forfeited bail shall be paid to the Drug Offenses Trust Fund.
