§ 51.03 PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL.
   (A)   Where a public sanitary sewer is not available under the provisions of § 51.02(D), the building sewer shall be connected with a private disposal coupling with the provisions and requirements of Section 403 of the City Building Code adopted in § 150.01.
   (B)   At such time as a public sewer becomes available to a property served by a private sewage disposal system, as provided in § 51.02(D), a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this ordinance, and any septic tanks, privy vaults, cesspool or similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be abandoned and filled with suitable material if its construction is such that it may endanger life or property through deterioration and collapse.
   (C)   The owner shall operate and maintain the private sewage disposal facilities in a sanitary manner at all times at no expense to the city.
   (D)   No statement contained in this chapter shall be construed to interfere with any additional requirements that may be imposed by the City Commission or by the SWRC.
