(a) Where the Public Works Director or designee, or the authorized official for the Summit County Department of Environmental Services, determines that a new sanitary collection sewer proposed by an applicant for connection to the system is inadequate to serve the overall and/or future needs of the sanitary sewer system, or the Superintendent of Service for the City determines that a new storm collection sewer proposed by an applicant for connection to the existing system is inadequate to serve the overall and/or future needs of the storm sewer system, an applicant may be required to construct sewers of a larger diameter, and other appropriate appurtenances.
(b) The guidelines for the oversizing of water lines is outlined in the Water Availability policy under Ordinance No. 97-41.
