§ 150.077 MECHANICAL REGISTRATION REQUIRED; BOND.
   (A)   It is unlawful for any person to engage in the business, trade, or vocation of mechanical contractor, without a certificate of registration as such secured from the city. The initial fee for a registration certificate, and any renewal, to be paid to the City Clerk, shall be set forth in § 35.01, “Schedule of Fees and Charges.” A registration certificate must be renewed within 90 days following expiration of the certificate. After the expiration, an application for a new certificate must be requested and the initial fee paid again. No person may be registered with the city as a contractor or apprentice unless he or she possesses a valid and current state license issued by the state and is properly bonded and insured as required by the state and pays the registration fee. This certificate is not transferable to any other individual or company.
   (B)   After adequate opportunity for a hearing the City Council may revoke the certificate of a mechanical contractor, an apprentice technician, or a journeyman technician.
