The planning and zoning commission shall consist of nine (9) members. The members of the planning and zoning commission shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to the confirmation of the city council. The members of the planning and zoning commission shall serve respectively for the following terms: three (3) for one year, three (3) for two (2) years, and three (3) for three (3) years.
