There is hereby created the office of Superintendent of Public Works, who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees and shall hold office until a successor is appointed and qualified. The Superintendent shall receive such salary as may be provided by the annual budget of the Village Board at the time of the appointment. (See 65 ILCS 5/3.1-30- 5)
