24-5-2   MUFFLER.  
   No motor vehicle shall be operated on any street unless such vehicle is provided with a muffler in efficient actual working condition; and the use of a cut-out is prohibited. No muffler shall cause an unreasonably loud or excessive noise. (See 625 ILCS 5/12-602)
