A. Fine Imposed: Any person charged with a violation of this chapter may, in lieu of prosecution for a violation thereof, make payment in accordance with section 1-4-4 of this code. For the purpose of determining penalties for parking violations, each hour that a car remains illegally parked constitutes a separate violation, except for section 6-3-2 of this chapter or unless otherwise specified. B. Parking Ticket Form: The village board may, from time to time, designate by ordinance a form parking ticket to be used by the village police. (Ord. 365-86, 4-8-1986)
C. Exceptions: This section shall not apply to:
1. Persons parking so as to obstruct the entrance or exit of any place where police or fire department apparatus or other emergency equipment is kept or housed, or so as to block an emergency entrance in a hospital;
2. Persons parking so as to entirely obstruct traffic in any street or alley;
3. Persons parking in such a way as to reduce traffic on an arterial street to one-way traffic only;
4. Persons who refuse to move an illegally parked vehicle at the request of any member of the police department. (Ord. 1051-03, 11-17-2003)
