(A) The city adopts by public ordinance the current edition of the building code and all accompanying appendices, amendments and modifications as adopted by the building codes bureau, Montana department of labor and industry applicable to local government jurisdictions, subsequent editions of building codes may be adopted by administrative action as authorized by Montana Code Annotated section 50-60-301(1)(b); as published in ARM section 8.70.1501 and sections 24.301.202, 24.301.901 through 24.301.905. The building code is applicable to all buildings within the city limits. (Ord. 852, 2-21-2006)
(B) The adopted building code(s) shall regulate the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area, and maintenance of all buildings and/or structures in the city and its jurisdictional area and provide for issuance of permits and collection of fees and penalties.
