AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 13 PUBLIC SERVICES, CHAPTER 13.04 WATER SYSTEM REGULATIONS, SECTION 13.04.060 WATER RATES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF HATCH, NEW MEXICO, that Title 13 Public Services, Chapter 13.04 Water System Regulations, Section 13.04.060 Water Rates, of the Hatch Municipal Code be amended as follows:
13.04.060: WATER RATES:
A. The following rates shall apply on all water used on and after August 20, 2023:

Minimum charge includes 3,000 gallons
Multiple Units under one roof with only one meter.
Number of units x minimum charge + water usage
Example: 5 unit apartments (5 units x $29.45 + metered water usage)
B. Water Charges in Addition to Minimum Monthly Charges
3,000 to 10,000 gallons …………………………. $ 3.03 per 1000 gallons
10,000 to 30,000 gallons …………………………. $ 3.47 per 1000 gallons
30,000 to 300,000 gallons …………………………. $ 10.39 per 1000 gallons
Over 300,000 gallons …………………………. $ 12.13 per 1000 gallons
C. Water meter installation
Water Tap, labor & materials (residential 3/4x5/8”) ………….$ 1,320.00/meter tap.
If a bore under a road, ditch, or other structure is required, the additional cost will
be included in the charges.
This Ordinance shall be published once and shall be in full force and effective five (5) days after publication.
ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH ARE HEREBY REPEALED.
