(A) The Director is vested with the authority and responsibility for the implementation of an effective cross connection control program for the city and for the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter. The Director is further authorized to perform cross connection control duties that include, but are not limited to, cross connection inspections and water use surveys.
(B) The Director is hereby authorized to promulgate reasonable regulations to achieve the purposes of this chapter that are not in conflict with this code (including, but not limited to, any standard plumbing codes adopted by the city), the city Charter, the Commission, the laws of the State of Texas (including, but not limited to, Tex. Health and Safety Code §§ 341.031 et seq.), and the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. § 300f et seq.
