There are a few commercial businesses in Harker Heights that recycle or reuse water, and the city is seriously considering using treated effluent water from the wastewater plant to irrigate a 33-acre park owned by the city. The city has already asked TCEQ to assist in administrative and submittal requirements that must be followed when utilizing reclaimed water. In addition, the city will continue to look for opportunities to recycle or reuse water.
