A. Creation; Authority: There is created a planning and zoning committee, which throughout this chapter, is referred to as the committee. The committee shall be constituted and shall function according to the bylaws set forth in section 2-1-2 of this chapter and shall have all the power or authority to consider ordinances or to recommend adjustments to or repeal of any portion of this chapter, section 1-6-1, or title 10 of this code.
B. General Powers And Duties: The committee shall provide guidance and assistance to the city council, hold public hearings as required by law, and shall grant and deny applications presented to the committee, and shall make timely written recommendations to the council in all matters relating to this chapter, section 1-6-1, and title 10 of this code, in which the council has final decision making powers.
