There shall be a Township engineer appointed by the manager with the consent of the council. The Township engineer, or representative thereof, shall be a professional engineer registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and shall have all other qualifications as may be mandated by state or federal law. The Township engineer shall serve as chief engineering adviser to the council, the manager, and all Township departments, offices, and agencies, and shall represent the Township in all engineering matters.
