Section 5.03 Township Attorney.
There shall be a Township attorney, learned in the law with at least five years experience in active legal practice who shall have been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He/she shall be appointed by the manager with the consent of council and shall serve as chief legal adviser to the council, the manager and all Township departments, offices and agencies. The Township attorney shall represent the Township in all legal proceedings and shall perform any other duties prescribed by this charter. With the approval of the council, the Township attorney may retain special counsel for a particular proceeding.
