§ 4-302.   Changes.
   1.   P100.1 - Title: These regulations shall be known as the Plumbing Code of Hanover Township, Lehigh County, hereinafter referred to as "this code."
   2.   P104.1 - Continuation: The legal use and occupancy of any structure existing on 3/3/89 or for which it had been therefore approved, shall be continued without change except as shall be specifically covered in this code.
   3.   P106.2 - Abandoned Piping: Abandoned drainage within the building shall be hermetically sealed by a cap or plug.
   4.   P111.3 - By Whom Application is Made: Application for a permit shall be made by a master plumber who engages or carries on the business to install all or part of any plumbing system. The applicant shall meet all qualifications established by rules promulgated with this code or by ordinance, resolution, or statute. The full names and addresses of the owner, lessee, applicants and of the responsible officers, if the owner or lessee is a corporate body, shall be stated in the application. [Ord. 282]
   5.   P114.2 - Fee Schedule: The permit fees for all plumbing work shall be as indicated in the Fee Schedule.
   6.   P123.0 - Owner performance: The provision herein contained shall not prohibit the owner of an owner occupied one and two family residence from personally picking up permits and performing plumbing work therein.
   7.   P131.1 - Permits: A permit shall be secured as herein provided before the work is started.
   8.   P132.2 - Work: All work shall actually be performed by the owner in accordance with the provisions of this code.
   9.   P132.3 - Inspections: The owner shall make application for all required inspections.
   10.   P201.0 - Definitions:
      "Master Plumber" shall mean any person or employee of a proprietorship, partnership, or corporation, who engages in or carries on the business of the plumbing trade and who has the final determination and has full responsibility for the manner in which the work is done.
      "Master Plumber License" shall mean a license issued to a master plumber, as herein defined, who, by passing the required examination and the written and drawing test from a third class city, may apply for plumbing permits.

   1.   Article 10 Traps, Interceptors, Separators, and Backwater Valves.
      A.   P1001.7 - Building traps: Building (house) traps shall be installed. Each building trap when installed, shall be provided with a double cleanout, and with a relief vent - or fresh air intake on the inlet side trap, which need not be larger than 1/2 the diameter of the drain to which it connects. Such relief vent or fresh air intake shall be carried above grade and terminate in a screened outlet located outside of building. The double cleanout may be placed indoors, or outdoors within 5 feet from building line.
      B.   P1217.1.1 - Faucets: Sink and lavatory faucet discharge rates shall not exceed three gallons of water per minute over a range of test pressures from 20 to 80 PSI. [Ord. 282]
      C.   P1218.1.1 - Urinals and Associated Flushing Mechanisms: Urinal water consumption shall not exceed an average of 11/2 gallons per flush cycle over a range of test pressure from 20 to 80 PSI. [Ord. 282]
      D.   P1219.1.1 - Water Closets and Associated Flushing Mechanisms: The water consumption of water closets shall not exceed an average of 1.6 gallons per flush cycle over a range of test pressures from 20 to 80 PSI. [Ord. 282]
      E.   P1223.3.1 - Showerheads: Showerhead discharge rates shall not exceed three gallons of water per minute over a range test of pressures from 20 to 80 PSI. [Ord. 282]
