§ 1-746.   Workmen's Compensation Benefits.
Pennsylvania Workmen's Compensation Act states that if a Township employee is injured while performing Township duties, the Township employee is eligible to receive two-thirds of his base salary (subject to allowable maximum and minimum benefit levels at the time of the injury and other conditions of the Act) for a period of time depending upon the seriousness of the injury. All reasonable medical expenses are also paid. If the Township employee is injured on the job or is disabled in any way as a result of his job, he must immediately report this to the Township Manager. Failure to report an injury or a disability within the time limits could result in the Township employee becoming ineligible for Compensation Benefits.
