§ 1-741.   Resignations and Retirements.
   1.   Resignation in Good Standing. To resign in good standing, the Township employee must submit his resignation to the Township Manager at least 10 working days before leaving. Resignation in good standing is important because it may affect your eligibility for reinstatement.
   2.   Reinstatement After Resignation. Providing a vacancy exists, the Township employee may be reinstated to his job or a similar (or lower) job within one year after resigning without going through the regular selection, testing and probationary period.
   3.   The Township employee's previous termination or resignation must have been made under honorable circumstances, and the Township employee must have successfully completed the initial probationary period. By resigning, the Township employee relinquishes all vacation, seniority and sick leave, but will be compensated for all unused vacation time. The Township employee will begin to earn vacation and sick leave upon reinstatement as if he was a new employee.
