Sometimes ongoing operations require that the Township Manager temporarily promote a lower level employee to a position in a higher pay range. Examples of occurrence of this type might be an approved leave of absence or a long term disability of the higher level employee. However, such promotion shall be at the discretion of the Township Manager. If the employee is promoted for a period exceeding 5 working days, he will at the next following pay period be paid at the higher rate. The first 5 working days, however, will be reflected at the employee's present rate.
