§ 157. Blasting.
   1.   If, in the construction work, the permittee will (1) be required to use certain blasting operations in the excavation, the permittee agrees to make, execute, and deliver to the Township a Bond in the sum stipulated by the Township with the corporate surety duly registered and authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, (2) that the permittee will save harmless the Township from any damage whatsoever to its subgrade, special subgrade, sub-base, drainage facilities, road metal, and any other installations or matter in, under, or upon the highway right-of-way for a period of two years from the date of the completion of the last work covered by the surety agreement to be performed under these permits on account of blasting or am; other matter, cause or thing, incidental to or connected with the blasting operations which may result in apparent or latent damage as may appear within the period of two (2) years from the date of the completion of the last work performed.
The following schedule for bonds shall apply:
      Excavations less than 500 linear feet   $ 25,000
      Excavations 500 - 999 linear feet   50,000
      Excavations 1,000 - 1,999 linear feet   75,000
      Excavations 2,000 or more linear feet   100,000
