§ 1-737.   Promotions.
New job opportunities may arise and the Township Manager will inform the Township employee of them. If the Township employee is interested in this opportunity, his application must be in writing and include his name and the vacancy for which he is applying. The Township Manager will decide who is to be promoted after comparing the skills and abilities (taking into consideration seniority) necessary to perform the job. If promoted, the Township employee will be required to successfully complete a probationary period of 6 months. If for some reason the Township employee does not successfully complete the probationary period, he will be terminated unless a lower level job is available.
