The Township hereby establishes and implements a source separation and collection program for recyclable materials in accordance with Act 101 (the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act). The source separation and collection program shall include the following regulations:
1. Designated Materials for Residential Source Separation.
Designated recyclables for this program shall consist of the following materials:
A. Clear Glass.
B. Colored Glass (Green and Brown)
C. Plastic PET and HDPE.
D. Aluminum Cans.
E. Steel and Bimetallic Cans.
F. Newspaper.
Designated materials for commercial industrial/institutional source separation. Designated recyclables for this program shall consist of the following materials:
A. Clear Glass.
B. Colored Glass (Green and Brown).
C. Plastic PET and HDPE.
D. Aluminum Cans.
E. Steel and Bimetallic Cans.
F. Corrugated Paper.
G. Leaf Waste.
2. Proof of Recycling.
A. Residential. Collector must file and complete "Residential Source Separation Report" in the form approved by resolution of the Township Council, in accordance with the following schedule:

July 1 - September 30 | October 15 |
October 1 - December 31 | January 15 |
B. Commercial. Collector is required to provide a copy of "Source Separation and Recycling Report" to their customers. It is suggested that the "report" be distributed along with and at the same time as the previously cited customer information. As a back up system, the Collector shall supply the Township with the same recycling information. The Township will provide the Collector with sufficient copies of the "report" for distribution.
