§ 101. Definitions.
The following words or phrases when used in this Part, shall have the meaning ascribed to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. Also, personal pronouns shall include the singular as well as the plural number and the male, female and neuter gender.
   GARBAGE - means any offal, fish, fruit, vegetable or animal matters, liquid or otherwise, attending the preparation, use or cooking of or dealing in meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, and any other organic substance subject to fermentation, or decay, and house and storage sweepings and tin cans which contain animal or vegetable matter.
   PERSON - means any individual, firm, co-partnership, institution, association, corporation and any officer, agent, employee or representative thereof.
   RUBBISH and REFUSE - means tinware, wire, paper, rags, excelsior, straw, boxes, mattresses, old clothes, old shoes, leather scrap, rubber scrap, carpet, oilcloth, bottles, broken glass, broken crockery, leaves, grass trimmings, tree or shrubbery branches, and similar waste materials and vegetation which result from the use of residential, municipal, commercial or institutional premises.    TOWNSHIP - means the Township of Hanover, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
