§ 1-731.   Military Leave.
   1.   Providing Copy of Orders. If for any reason the Township employee is called to active military service during his employment with the Township, he will be granted military leave without pay. Before this leave can be granted, however, the Township employee must provide the Township Manager with a copy of his orders. Upon completion of his military obligation, the Township employee may return to his job if, once again, the Township employee provides the Manager a copy of his orders and provide this copy within ninety (90) days of his discharge from the service.
   2.   Enlistment. The Township employee will have the same opportunities for reemployment with the Township if he enlists in times of war, armed conflict, or in an emergency, proclaimed by the President of the United States or the Governor. In cases of enlistment, however, the Township employee must request to be reemployed within 90 days after his first enlistment or when the emergency or armed conflict was or is concluded.
   3.   Training Leave. If the Township employee is a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard or other Military Reserve, he will be granted up to 15 days per year of compensated military leave to attend required training, less any military pay received. This is in addition to his vacation leave. The Township employee must give a copy of his orders to the Township Manager.
