§ 110.01 DISTRIBUTION OF HANDBILLS, OR POSTING NOTICES WITHIN THE STREETS OR PREMISES OF THE CITY.
   No person, for himself or another, shall post any bills, notices or advertisements of any kind on any tree, telegraph pole or electric light pole or any other pole or structure or any fence, sidewalk, buildings, crosswalks or bridge, in or abutting any of the alleys or streets of the city, or any park or public grounds or in or about any of the public buildings of the city, nor shall any hand bills, dodgers, medicine samples, banana peels or any filth, matter or substance of any kind be placed, thrown or distributed in the streets, lanes or alleys or other public places of business, yards or premises of any of the inhabitants of the city, without their consent first being obtained therefor; provided, that nothing herein contained shall be construed to apply to legal notices prescribed in the Statutes of the State of Michigan, or in the Charter or Code of the city.
