§ 96.007 TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP.
   (A)   The seller of a foreclosed, vacant or abandoned property must notify the city within 15 days of the date of the sale or transfer and provide the name and address of the purchaser or transferee. The purchaser or transferee must apply for a property registration within 15 days of the sale or transfer, unless it is intended to be occupied as a single-family owner occupied structure and a principal residence exemption is on file with the city. No refunds or credits of fees will be given when there is a transfer of ownership.
   (B)   Any foreclosed, vacant or abandoned property which meets one of the following conditions will be required to obtain a new certificate of occupancy pursuant to the provisions of §§ 96.025 through 96.032:
      (1)   Any vacant or abandoned residential property that has been unoccupied for a period of 180 days or more that will be occupied after sale or transfer of ownership.
      (2)   Any vacant or abandoned commercial or industrial property that has been unoccupied for a period of 90 days or more that will be occupied after sale or transfer of ownership.
      (3)   Any property that has been foreclosed, regardless of the period of vacancy, which will be occupied after sale or transfer of ownership.
