9-6-1: PENALTY:

Any person who violates any provisions of this chapter, including by commencing work without a permit, shall be subject to a fine or penalty of not less than seventy five dollars ($75.00), and not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense, and a like fine or penalty for each day said violation continues. ARTICLE VII FEES

9-7-1: FEES FOR PERMITS:

The applicant for a permit under this chapter shall pay at the time his application is submitted, and the village clerk shall collect a fee as follows:

   A.   Sidewalk: 1% of the cost of construction or repair, but in no case less than $15.00.

   B.   Driveway:

      1.   Residential property, 16 feet or less in width, with no change in the grade of the sidewalk - $10.00.

      2.   All others - $15.00. (1985 Code)

   C.   Excavations: The fee shall be such amount as is established from time to time by the village board; and the board may also require from each applicant a security deposit to ensure full and satisfactory restoration of the premises. (Ord. 03-02, 4-3-2003)

Garbage collection charges assessed to residents shall be established from time to time by the board of trustees.

Any monies collected in excess of the costs incurred for contract payments for the service and administrative costs shall be retained in the fund and shall be used to defray the cost of future garbage collection services. (Ord. 16-20, 7-21-2016)

9-8-2: WHEN DUE:

All said charges shall be paid by the thirtieth day of the month following the date of billing, and shall incur a ten percent (10%) interest charge after thirty (30) days of nonpayment from date of said billing. (1985 Code)
