§ 101.081 SAFETY REGULATIONS.
   (A)   The person who receives the permit shall cause the excavation to be refilled and placed in the same condition before dark of the day on which the excavation is made, or shall move the building material or other material of any kind so placed. If for any reason it shall be impossible to do so, proper platforms, bridges or safeguards for the passage of pedestrians and vehicles shall be placed over the excavations or material, and so maintained until the work is completed and the material is removed. Suitable red lights and guards shall be placed at night, so as to warn the public of danger.
   (B)   As soon as the excavations are filled in or the material is removed, the person to whom has been granted a special permit shall immediately notify the Street Commissioner of completion of the work and the Street Commissioner shall immediately inspect the place. If found to be in proper repair he or she shall immediately issue a release to that person, and if the work is not done properly, then the Street Commissioner shall immediately require the person, firm or corporation to put it in proper condition. If the person fails or refuses to do so at once he or she shall upon conviction be fined in the sum hereafter set out.
