§ 101.001 DEFINITIONS.

   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.

   PROPERTY OWNERS. The titleholder of any property, any person claiming an interest in the property, occupant or tenant thereof, and further including those exercising any right of control over the property.

   PUBLIC STREETS AND WAYS.

      (1)   The portion of a paved roadway to the curbs at the edges thereof;

      (2)   The portion of a paved public way without curbs between the extreme edges of the dedicated public way;

      (3)   The portion of a public way which is unpaved but lying within a dedicated right-of-way; and

      (4)   All portions of a dedicated alley denominated or used as an alley, excluding those portions of a right-of-way normally used as an alley but lying entirely within private property.
