(A) The areas and portions of streets and highways, as designated in Chapter 77, Schedule II, shall be known as taxi loading zones, and shall be subject to the rules and regulations set out in this subchapter.
(B) (1) No person shall stop, stand or park a motor vehicle, for any purpose or for any period of time, in any taxi loading zone except the operator of a licensed taxicab while loading or unloading passengers or while waiting to be engaged by a passenger for hire.
(2) A driver of a passenger vehicle, other than a bus, may temporarily stop therein for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers for a period not to exceed 3 minutes, when the stopping does not interfere with any taxicab waiting to enter or to leave the zone.
