(A) Vehicles operated in the city shall be registered by their owners in compliance with I.C. 9-18-2-1.
(B) Any individual who has resided in Hammond for 60 days or more shall have their vehicle or vehicles registered in compliance with I.C. 9-18-2-1.
(C) Notice of an order to remove any vehicle in violation of this section shall be placed on the vehicle in question by Hammond police of Code Enforcement Officers. If the vehicle is not removed, brought into compliance or is deemed abandoned or junked, the vehicle may be removed and impounded at the owner’s expense and a citation may be issued.
(D) Vehicles towed under this section may be repossessed by the registered owner upon payment of towing, storage and proof of proper vehicle registration.
