§ 72.012 POLICE ORDERED TOWS/FEES.

   (A)   The City of Hammond hereby adopt and incorporates I.C. 9-22-1 et seq., all police ordered tows shall occur in compliance with this section.

   (B)   The Hammond Board of Public Works and Safety shall have the following powers concerning all police ordered tows in the city.

      (1)   The Board shall adopt all rules and procedures it feels are necessary and appropriate concerning all police ordered towing within Hammond.

      (2)   The Board shall designate towing services and the areas in which they operate.

      (3)   The Board shall bid and approve written contracts for all towing services.

      (4)   The Board shall periodically review the towing fees and recommend changes.

      (5)   The police ordered tow fees shall be as follows:

Regular tow/flat bed tow	$180
Service call	$100
Inside storage (per day)	$50
Outside storage (per day)	$40
Oil dry	$40
Winching	$75
Use of “Go Jack” equipment	$70
Clean up	$40
Tow of city/fire/police vehicle	No charge
